Pain

While pain is a body’s important communication tool, it pushes us to exit dangerous situations and protects damaged body areas allowing them to heal. The pathway of pain travels the spinal cord to the brain. At the brain, pain’s emotional aspect is communicated to the person. That emotional aspect challenges our attempts to treat the pain. Your experience of pain is uniquely yours, and varying in intensity. Acute pain. Chronic pain. And Psychogenic pain, brought on by psychological distress, contributes to the intensity of the pain. Psychogenic Pain can manifest feelings of physical and mental stuckness.

Therapeutic Hypnosis & Counseling blended (TH&C) create a decreased need for pain pills, a result often yet thought possible. In one recent study of patients in a California Permanente Medical Group, 80% were able to reduce their need of pills to change their experience of pain.

TH&C techniques reduce the terror and fear of being in pain and increase the ease of living with it. Even prior to medical procedures and surgery, the unconscious will work with the body and the mind to then recover and facilitate healing.

Even though, pain is very uniquely yours, pain is very amendable to your perception. People do change their pain, with the brain and the mind cooperating actively to shape and regulate your life experiences. The upper brain mind cooperation communicates emotions (pleasure, relaxation, contentment, safety, peace). The brain stem keeps us breathing. Therapeutic Hypnosis, studies have shown, improves the pain suffering experience by 50-70%. The special learning state of hypnosis gets the sensory part of the brain to end negative perceptions and thoughts. Therapeutic Hypnosis, over weeks, changes the brain’s neurostructure. The brain’s “alarm stuckness”, of chronic pain, changes. The freedom of eased pain is then lived. LIVE PAIN FREE.
